About Us

AE Building Technologies was founded in 1992 to provide end-to-end design, material supply, implementation, supervision, commissioning, training, maintenance, and service for Fire Detection, Emergency Public Address, CCTV, Access Control, Security, and Integrated Building Control Systems for medium and large-scale buildings.

In its early years, AE developed and manufactured its own Fire Detection Systems, producing its first detectors and control panels and delivering the design and implementation of these systems across numerous projects — most notably the headquarters of major public institutions such as the Land Registry and Cadastre, MTA (General Directorate of Mineral Research and Exploration), the General Directorate of Highways, and Iron and Steel Works.

Through the engineering work undertaken during the same period, AE built a structure that combined product development, engineering, project engineering, and implementation capabilities from its earliest stages.

In 1993, AE signed a business partnership agreement with Honeywell. This partnership, which has continued uninterrupted for over 30 years, played a significant role in AE's development in fire detection and building technologies.

That same year, AE signed its first fire consultancy contract with Emek İnşaat for the renovation projects of Emekli Sandığı (Pension Fund) hotels. This strengthened AE's activities in design, engineering, and fire consultancy alongside its system implementation work.

To provide faster, more effective service to its customers and increase its operational capacity, AE opened its Istanbul office.

AE opened its Kazakhstan office to provide on-site engineering, implementation, and service for its overseas projects. This marked the beginning of the expansion of AE's international activities and regional service capacity.

In 2008, AE signed an Approved Business Partner agreement with GE Fire & Security for fire detection, access control, security, and CCTV systems, covering Türkiye and the Turkic Republics.

In 2009, AE developed and manufactured IP-based smart card readers. Alongside hardware manufacturing, the development of system software strengthened AE's capability to develop its own electronic hardware and software technologies.

Following the acquisition of GE Security by UTC Fire & Security, AE signed a new Approved Business Partner agreement with UTC Fire & Security in 2010, covering the same fields for Türkiye and the Turkic Republics.

This period saw AE significantly expand its long-term partnerships with international manufacturers and broaden its product portfolio.

In 2014, AE signed a partnership agreement with DET-TRONICS, one of the world's leading manufacturers of industrial flame and gas detection technologies.

This partnership expanded AE's product and engineering competence in flame and gas detection solutions, particularly for industrial facilities.

In 2017, AE began domestic manufacturing by developing the hardware and software of its own Access Control System.

The system's electronic hardware, software, and architecture were all developed by AE. Built using modern communication and security technologies, the system was designed to meet high security and integration requirements and was implemented across numerous projects.

With this development, AE moved beyond being merely a product supplier in the access control field, strengthening its identity as a technology manufacturer developing its own hardware and software.

In 2020, AE developed its Integrated Building Management Software to manage and integrate different security and building systems through a single platform.

Supporting the integration of diverse systems such as Fire Detection, Emergency Public Address, IP CCTV, RFID Infant Protection, Nurse Call, hospital code systems, lighting automation, HIS (Hospital Information System), BMS, and IP Telephony, this platform marked a significant step in AE's multi-system integration and software development capabilities.

AE developed Focal Remote Monitoring Software for the centralized monitoring and management of security and building systems across different locations.

Focal established a new software infrastructure for centralized system monitoring, event tracking, and more effective management of operational processes.

Expanding its work in software development and system integration, AE developed its Video Monitoring and Management Software.

With this development, AE's own software technologies expanded beyond access control, building management, and remote monitoring solutions to also cover video security and video management.

Today, AE Building Technologies offers design, engineering, product supply, electronic hardware manufacturing, software development, system integration, implementation, commissioning, maintenance, and service under one roof in Fire Detection, Emergency Public Address, CCTV, Access Control, Building and Mechanical Automation, Network, Security, and Integrated Building Management.

With its own ONPRO technologies, strong engineering and project engineering infrastructure, expert technical team, and long-standing international brand partnerships, AE today continues its operations as a system integrator and technology developer delivering end-to-end solutions in security and building technologies.
